Disney is bringing the full Star Wars saga in 4K to disc in April

Playfront

So far, Star Wars has only served slices of the 4K UHD versions, of which only the most recent films have been polished. That changes in April and with the commercial release of 'Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker' on the occasion of which Disney is reissuing the entire saga in 4K. First of all: it is not exactly cheap.

If you leave Disney + outside, the 4K UHD version will probably be the technically best version of Star Wars, which should particularly please high enthusiasts who still rely on discs. In addition to the films in polished 4K, Disney also promises Dolby Atmos as the original sound, which guarantees an even more immersive film experience.

The UHD films also come in a uniform line look, including the Skywalker saga and spin-offs like Rogue One and Solo. A total of 11 films with 3 discs each (Blu-ray version and bonus material).

There are also rumors about the complete Skywalker saga as a collection box, but it has not been confirmed yet. Probably only abroad and without the spin-off films. The individual UHD versions can now be pre-ordered from Amazon.de.

Note: Since the PS5 has a UHD drive, the Sar Wars films are certainly a great collector's item on it.
