Pokémon HOME: 5 new service features revealed

The platform will arrive in mid-February for Nintendo Switch; later in 2020 it will do the same on iOS and Android mobile devices.

Pokémon HOME is just around the corner and now we have learned about its features. The application, which will be available this February on Nintendo Switch and later on iOS and Android mobile devices, will complete and expand the experience of Pokémon Sword / Shield as well as other titles in the saga to be the center of operations for exchange, backup in the cloud and information of the current universe.

During these last days, different Japanese media have tried the service in the Nintendo hybrid console to offer their impressions. Of all the known material, it is worth highlighting a total of five aspects that we did not know until now about Pokémon HOME.

  • We cannot store eggs in Pokémon HOME: only hatched creatures.
  • The Pokémon of Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu / Eevee (2018, NSW) will receive skills (or other data not existing in those editions) when transferred to Sword and Shield; not when they land on Pokémon HOME.
  • The GTS (Global Trade Station) will allow you to see the origin of the Pokémon: if it comes from the Pokémon Bank, Let’s Go, Sword and Shield…
  • The mobile version of Pokémon HOME will allow us to see the models of the Pokémon in 3D, rotate them and move the three-dimensional modeling as if it were a diorama
  • The National Pokédex is separated by region; in this way, it will be possible to consult all the Pokémon stored as a whole or filter them through lists of regions: Kanto, Johto, Hoenn …

2020 in Pokémon Sword and Shield: Expansion Pass and more
