Dying Light 2 – Parkour Movement relies on even more physics

The original 'Dying Light' already impressed with its parkour movement system, which was further revised for 'Dying Light 2'. Even more physics are being used here to further approach realism.

In an interview with senior game designer Bartosz Kulon, he now compares the movement system more with what can be seen in Spider-Man or Tarzan and less than what Mirror’s Edge once did.

“It's more based on physics. Like a Tarzan or Spider-Man thing. It is not misused because you have to have something about yourself that you can swing about. ”

This also applies to individual elements that have been improved during the Parkour movement, such as the gripping hook. This has now been optimized much better, works more precisely, and may therefore be a bit more complicated to use.

In general, you improved the physics throughout the game, which you might only notice if you played the original Dying Light for a very long time. This opens up opportunities for Techland that you might not have had in the first game.

When Dying Light 2 is finally released is currently unclear. The survival adventure was postponed indefinitely just a few days ago.
