Nintendo has eliminated all mention of the possibility of microtransactions and integrated purchases in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. When there are only a few weeks left before the first main game of the saga is put up for sale in seven years, the questions remain many, but little by little we know how the experience of this installment for Nintendo Switch will be.
As we see, the ESRB previously indicated “In-Game Purchases”, which left the doors open for DLC, expansions, micropayments with real money or free downloads, as Nintendo has accustomed us with some of its latest releases in this same console. Now, that date has disappeared.
Cases parallel to the game that concerns us are, for example, Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Pokémon Sword and Shield. Receiving the same official Nintendo website as a reference, the mention of micropayments appears in the section dedicated to the Intelligent Systems videogame and, in effect, the game already has a DLC as an expansion on the way to 2020.
On the other hand, in the case of the deliveries of Game Freak that mention does not appear anywhere, but also the titles will have an Expansion Pass from this June.
