Some details of the new Tomb Raider movie that opens in 2021 have been leaked, after which the story of the latest trilogy follows, including Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
The filming of the film will therefore begin in a few months under the direction of Director Ben Wheatley. Filming locations include Beijing, England, Finland and South Africa, while visiting Scandinavian countries to capture icy Siberia, and the city of Kitezh from the last game.
This time, the story of the two games is to be told in just one film, as they say, but one also wants to take up the events of the games again, as the fans obviously think this is great. However, a 1: 1 retelling is not to be expected. There is also talk of supernatural moments, including monsters, ghosts and prophecies and all this stuff. Of course, more precise details are still secret.
In the coming months you will also hear more about the cast of the film, with Alicia Vikander already confirmed as Lara Croft. This is her second appearance as a legendary archaeologist, even if some fans aren't quite as happy with her cast.
Nevertheless, the current film was able to gross around $ 274 million, which speaks for itself.
