Biomutant release postponed further, PS5 version of the reason?

It continues with the shifts in the much-awaited blockbusters this year. Today it’s ‘Biomutant’ from THQ Nordic and Experiment 101.

So far, only rough release periods for biomutants have been mentioned, but the last-mentioned date until the end of March 2020 can no longer be met. Instead, publication is targeted for the next fiscal year, which begins in April and ends in March 2021.

Why the kung fu RPG is delayed so drastically remains unclear. As so often these days, it is already speculated that the upcoming generation change to the PS5 and Xbox Series X could be related to this and that a cross-gen release is being worked on in the background. This is often ideal if you bring a brand new IP such as Biomutant to the market. However, nothing has been confirmed.

Biomutant is a mythical, post-apocalyptic kung fu RPG in an open world with a unique martial arts combat system that allows you to combine melee combat, shooting and mutation actions. The martial arts combat system offers maximum freedom of movement and agility to combine shooting, melee and the powers of your mutations. Learning new forms of Wushu combat through progress and the things you learn from masters on your way are also constantly expanding your possibilities and ensuring that the battles never get boring.
