Dragon Quest: Your Story, the animated movie based on the popular video game in the Dragon Quest V: The Heavenly Bride, is now available on Netflix. This has been shared by the famous streaming platform, sharing the trailer of long-awaited animated adaptation after its premiere in Japanese cinemas in 2018. Thus, finally Western fans of the Square Enix franchise can enjoy this new feature with 3D animation.

Thus, Dragon Quest: Your Story introduces us to Lucas, a fearless young man who embarks on a dangerous adventure in the footsteps of his father in order to free his mother from the perfidious hands of Bishop Ladja. But Lucas will quickly discover that he cannot complete if he ventures without the help of the celestial hero, who possesses the so-called Sword of Heaven, a very powerful weapon that will be crucial in his risky journey.
The film is directed by Takashi Yamazaki, a filmmaker with experience in animated adaptations of franchises such as Lupine or Parasyte, under the supervision of Yuji Horii, creator of the Dragon Quest saga; on the other hand, the soundtrack is the work of Koichi Sugiyama, one of the main architects of the soundtracks of the different deliveries of Square Enix video games.
Although the film arrives with Spanish dubbing (among many other languages), the original work has the voices of Takeru Sato, Kasumi Arimura, Haru, Kentaro Sakaguchi, Takayuki Yamada or Kendo Kobayashi, among many others. The adaptation has a duration of 1 hour and 42 minutes and presents a character design completely different from the classic saga, the work of Akira Toriyama, one of the most criticized aspects by fans.
