Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition for Switch will have local cooperative in Bloody Palace

The Capcom title will be released for the first time on Nintendo Switch and will offer playable news never seen in this successful installment of the saga.

Capcom has confirmed Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition, the new port for Nintendo Switch, will feature local cooperative mode from Bloody Palace or Bloody Palace mode. The Japanese company, through a statement headed by Matt Walker, producer of the IP, explained that "now you can play as Sante and Vergil, with two players individually."

"Bloody Palace will now have a local cooperative experience," he began by saying. "With this new mode for two players in cooperative, it is not a doppelganger or a clone, but real Dante and Vergil, separately."

In this way, the two Joy-Con (one for each player) can be used, each with a Joy-Con pair or with the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. In order to access the Bloody Palace, it will be enough to overcome the initial mission of Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition, so we will not have to wait too long. For those who wish, it will be possible to remap controls to adapt the command configuration to our preferences.

Another of the novelties already known in this version is that you can change the combat style during missions with the so-called Free Style. This feature was not available in the original PlayStation 2 game released in 2005. The game will launch on February 20 through the eShop.

Devil May Cry 5, the best selling in the history of the saga

This week we have learned that Devil May Cry 5, launched last year 2019 on PS4, Xbox One and PC, has become the best-selling videogame in the saga by already exceeding 3.1 million copies worldwide. Interestingly, the third episode is the least sold of all – if we do not count reissues – despite being one of the best considered by critics and public.

Although we still do not know what are the plans of Capcom with the license starring Dante, it has been guaranteed that there will be more deliveries in the coming years because it is “a great brand”, at the height of Resident Evil.
