After the spin-off from Sony, developer Quantic Dream would like to act even more independently in the future and has now announced that it will switch to its self-publishing model. Development, marketing and outsourcing are completely done by yourself.

In a statement from Quantic Dream, they write:

“After 23 years of learning, discovering and growing, the studio is now independent – and we have mastered our own destiny. The past two years have been exceptional: Detroit's success: Become Human; the growth of an incredible global community; the launch of our games on PC – these are just a few of our highlights. Thanks to Detroit: Become Human, we were able to realize the vision that has been close to our hearts since the creation of Quantic Dream. ”

“This new company will enable us to make decisions in complete independence and to use the technological and strategic possibilities of next generation platforms. It will also enable us to help other developers by providing investment and development support so that they can fully express their talents. We want to support the creators of original projects and, in turn, help them realize their vision and offer high quality, breakthrough experiences. ”

At the same time, you emphasize that you want to stay true to your roots in the future and continue to believe that interactivity can be a means of artistic expression, that passion and sincerity are the best allies to reach players, and that the values humanism, Solidarity and inclusiveness, which has been used for 23 years, are more necessary than ever.

What Quantic Dream is currently working on is unknown.
