Street Fighter V: Champion Edition hits again: launch trailer

The already veteran fighting game of Capcom remains in the front line with a new paid update, which will add characters and more.

Years have passed since the premiere of Street Fighter V, a debut that took place in an environment full of controversy, but has softened as time has passed. Gone is the short content of the release, which has been extended over the months with both free and paid updates. The Champion Edition is the definitive version, which is presented in a launch trailer.

With Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, the character template is expanded again. Those who had reserved the upgrade pack or acquired the fighter separately, had already been able to taste Gill, the most recent addition. Seth, the main antagonist of Street Fighter IV, is the other warrior chosen to round the game's template, which already amounts to 40 characters. They are the 16 of the base game, in addition to the other 24 that have been added in the four seasons of the video game.

How much?

Players who already have the base game can catch up with the update pack, which is already available in digital stores at a price of 24.99 euros. It will also be sold in physical format for 29.99 euros. Capcom has chosen Valentine's Day to market the title on PlayStation 4 and PC, the two systems in which it can be found. Do not forget that the game is exclusive to the Sony console system.

Capcom's production, which initially received criticism for the difficulty of obtaining Fight Money to unlock content, has cleared those problems. The Story Mode was extended and also updated with the arcade mode, which was not present at the launch. In fact, the Japanese company put on sale the Arcade Edition, which at the time updated the content until that date.

Street Fighter V: Champion Edition also includes more than 200 costumes and 34 stages, a figure that has been increased with the arrival of the two new characters.
