Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition: first gameplay of its cooperative mode

The Capcom title will come to Nintendo Switch with several new features, among which are offering a cooperative mode in the Bloody Palace.

A few days ago we had confirmation from Capcom that Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition, the new port of the game for Nintendo Switch, will arrive with various novelties to the Nintendo laptop. One of them, and one of the most attractive, is the fact that it will have a local cooperative mode from the Bloody Palace mode. At the time of the announcement we could see some screenshots of this mode and hours later Capcom made a live of more than an hour and a half in which they played the cooperative mode of the game and the developers Hideaki Itsuno and Matt Walker answered various questions of interest.

The cooperative mode of Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition, in detail

To enter the cooperative mode, we simply have to select the corresponding option on the main menu screen. However, we will need two save files: one from Dante and one from Vergil. Another detail that we can observe is that in the phases in which normal enemies appear both players share the same screen, while in the fights against bosses the split screen is used.

While they play, Itsuno remembers how back then, if Devil May Cry 3 had not become a success, they would have stopped developing more games in the series. However, it became a game that marked a before and after in the Devil May Cry franchise, so they could continue until today without any barrier. On the other hand, and as a curiosity, Itsuno reveals that his favorite fighting style in the game is that of "Swordmaster", while that of Matt Walker is that of "Trikster".

We remember that Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition will arrive on Nintendo Switch on February 20, 2020 with a recommended price of € 20, so there is nothing left to have Dante back in our console.
