The North American team continues to incorporate assets from reputable industry studies. The Switch game remains undated.

Retro Studios continues to sign industry professionals for the development of its next video games; that we know, at least Metroid Prime 4 for Nintendo Switch. After the resounding reboot of the title in January 2019, the responsibility for development passed to the authors of the original trilogy, the study based in Austin, Texas, but we have known little since then beyond the numerous job vacancies available.

This time it was Mark Capers, a designer at Playful Studios who has found a new professional destination after becoming official that the study was going to undergo an immediate restructuring … with dozens of dismissals. Among the games in which Capers has participated is Super Lucky’s Tale, the most important Playful game, as well as Epic Mickey and its sequel.

Since April 2019 we know that they are looking for an art director, product tester, outsourced art administrator, level 3 IT engineer, level 1 gameplay engineer, main exterior environment creator, main character artist, main cinematic artist and much more.

One of them, Kyle Hefley, a well-known character modeler with experience in more than twenty games, such as Halo's character design, joined Retro Studios last October.
