A few weeks before the release of ‘DOOM Eternal’ there is a great overview trailer today that goes into the campaign and battle mode again.
The story in DOOM Eternal gets a lot more weight this time than in the games before. Although this is still largely under lock and key, it promises, among other things, that one will learn more about the origins of the Slayer.
In Battle Mode, 2-on-1 players compete, which was developed from scratch by id Software. A fully armed DOOM hunter battles two player-controlled demons and fights for survival in three intense rounds. He shifts the typical furious DOOM fighting style into a series of carefully designed arenas. Slayers and demons have the same task (flattening the other side), but differ significantly in the style of play.
DOOM Eternal will be released next March.
