Dreams – LOVRA creates a complete music video

Not only games can be created with ‘Dreams’ from Media Molecule, a complete music video has also been created with the creator tool. The artist LOVRA, together with two Dreams talents from Germany, will release her single “Someone in the Dark feat. SERA ”, with all content created using the game’s tools.

Artist LOVRA is known to mix up the electronic music scene around the world with its unique combination of lively house sounds, powerful vocals, danceable UK house rhythms and influences from the 80s and 90s. On the most important festival stages (including Tomorrowland, Parookaville), on tour with DJ greats like David Guetta and as a resident DJ in the world-famous Ushuaia in Ibiza, she heats up the visitors properly. In addition to her own projects, she has delivered successful remixes for stars like Robin Schulz, Alle Farben and Jax Jones in the past.

Her next project is now being created in Dreams – in collaboration with Warner Music Brand Partnership, Sony PlayStation and the two German Dreams creators Marc (marcilein98) and Lars (bigsurf77). With the extensive music tool, the creators, under the artistic direction of LOVRA, build the instrumental section of “Someone in the Dark feat. SERA ”- using only the original track as a template – and underlay the song with an animated music video. All models of the music video characters and the environment as well as the animations and tracking shots are created with the tools within Dreams. Step by step, a very special remix with a new music video is created in regular coordination with LOVRA.

“For me, Dreams is a world full of creative possibilities. The exciting thing is: When you start with it, you don’t even know what will end up because there are no creative boundaries in dreams, ”says LOVRA. “Marc and Lars knew immediately where to go. We harmonized wonderfully together and I was totally flabbergasted by what the boys did. It was definitely a lot of fun. ”

The two creators Marc and Lars are also impressed by the cooperation.

“Above all, I was pleasantly surprised that LOVRA not only liked the imitation song, but that she was also very interested in the tools and saw what is possible with them,” says Lars.

There is a foretaste of the music video in the following making-of:
