Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will stop updating after the final patch

Square Enix will put an end to its fighting video game, very focused on its online multiplayer facet.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT prepares to begin its final life cycle. Square Enix has announced that it will publish a last update on March 5. From then on, the company will stop working on the video game, although the servers will remain active, at least in the near future. In any case, the Japanese have made it clear that they will not be active indefinitely, although they have not given any specific deadline.

The most notable novelty is that the character template will incorporate Ardyn, the villain of Final Fantasy XV. Beyond that, new game modes will not be added, but will be limited to making certain balance changes. Square Enix has also stated that they are not working on a sequel to this product, which unlike the original PSP, is very oriented to its online side.

A look at the enemy of Final Fantasy XV

Ardyn Izuna plays an important role in the fall of the Kingdom of Lucis, when the Niflheim Empire betrays the trust of the monarch and takes advantage of the signing of a peace treaty to end the sovereign. However, the heir to the throne does not perish with the invasion, since it is far from the walls of Lucis. Together with his faithful vassals and friends he will travel the world in the Regalia car. His goal is to regain his powers of royalty and end the threat that hangs over the world.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is available on PlayStation 4 and PC. The game was also released as free-to-play, while in Japan it exists in a recreational version. The saga created by Hironobu Sakaguchi will return on April 10 from the hand of Final Fantasy VII Remake, which premieres the first of the deliveries. In FreeGameTips we have compared the initial sequence of the revamped version with that of the 1997 classic. This is the result.
