Neil Druckmann, focused on the final stretch of the development of The Last of Us Part II, does not end the saga, although they currently have no plans.

Neil Druckmann, creative director at Naughty Dog and currently immersed in the end of the development of The Last of Us Part II, has stated in a meeting with Retro Replay that a future new title of the Uncharted saga can be a reality, although they have nothing What to announce at the moment.

"Maybe one day we will, we'll see"

The interview, where Troy Baker, Ashley Johnson and Nolan North have also participated – voices of Joel and Ellie from The Last of Us; and Nathan Drake of Uncharted, respectively—, has revolved around many themes. When Druckmann has been asked about the adventures of Nate, that since Uncharted 4 (2016, PS4) and his standalone DLC The Lost Legacy (2017, PS4) does not have a new installment, the answer has been clear: “Maybe some day we will do it, we'll see. ”

"We are fortunate of the freedom that Sony gives us by being able to choose," he began by saying about the plans of the Californian study in the future. “We did Uncharted 4 and we haven't done another Uncharted since then. Maybe one day we'll do it, we'll see. ”

To which North adds: “We will talk about it. And, by the way, with what you just said, the Internet has exploded, ”aware of the impact of Druckmann's words, which has not therefore ended one of the most successful intellectual properties in the history of PlayStation.

The wishes of Bruce Straley, director of U2 and U4, for a possible Uncharted 5

In relation to an eventual Uncharted 5, last December FreeGameTips had the opportunity to chat with Bruce Straley at the Fun and Serious held in Bilbao. The former director of Uncharted 2, The Last of Us or Uncharted 4 had no qualms about transmitting his wishes with a possible fifth numbered episode: “I would be interested in Naughty Dog being able to integrate a mystery with clues that you should look for in the world and that, through that, the sensation of adventure, of exploration, of discovery was encouraged, ”he explained.

To which he added: "Without a doubt, one of the things I would do is to align the player with Nathan Drake, so that the player is able to think like Nathan Drake would do in each specific situation."

Naughty Dog's next date with fans, however, is The Last of Us Part II, which will go on sale on May 29 exclusively for the PlayStation 4 family of consoles.
