Half-Life Alyx can be seen in three new trailers with its playability

Valve shares up to three new videos detailing how to play the next Half-Life chapter specially designed for virtual reality

Valve has shared three new trailers showing in depth the gameplay of Half-Life Alyx, the new chapter of the famous saga specially designed for the virtual reality of devices such as Valve Index, Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, among others. A new advance in audiovisual format that arrives a few weeks before its final launch on Steam, scheduled for March 23. Let's see in more detail what surprises await these three new gameplay videos.

So are the three control modes of Alyx

The first gameplay trailer that occupies us and that tops the news offers us a look at the first system of displacement of the title, that is, the teleportation mode from one point to another on the stage, a very successful system in a multitude of virtual reality video games , especially in adventure and action. So much so, that we can mark specific places in our field of vision to go from one place to another without having to move or if we play in small spaces or with reduced mobility.

The second video shows us a more progressive displacement method, with no apparent jumps, through which we can move through the scenarios by means of a continuous movement as if it were a kinematics; It is an option aimed at those who may experience dizziness due to sudden changes in position in virtual reality environments.

The third and final video tells us what will be the most realistic displacement method, with freedom of movement and with total control of our avatar's actions in all situations. This control modality will allow us to use coverages and approach enemies in a much more strategic way.

Half-Life Alyx arrives at Steam on March 23 exclusively for the virtual reality of devices such as Valve Index, Oculus Rift or HTC Vive.
