The new installment of Capcom's classic survival horror returns with a facelift and reimagined game mechanics.
There will be no peace for Jill Valentine, the main protagonist of Resident Evil 3 Remake. Raccoon City returns from the dead to once again embody the horror of the city of zombies. This time, however, a greater danger lurks in the shadows, as Nemesis waits with the intention of not leaving a puppet with a head and ending anyone who crosses his path … Jill among those characters. The new installment of the Capcom classic will be released in just one month, but before we can enjoy this extended gameplay that accompanies this news through a special broadcast. The new sequences can be seen between the minutes 42:10 and 55:18.
This version of the adventure takes the essence of the game of the late nineties, but adapts the graphics and game mechanics to the times they are running, just as Resident Evil 2 did last year. However, the third installment has always had a more action-driven approach, something that is also reflected in the gameplay. Nemesis, meanwhile, has been built with Mr. X in mind, although as the developers themselves commented, the character retains its own identity seal. Which one exactly? Not only is he invulnerable, but he is also able to use weapons against his enemies.
Who designed the game?
The study that has given life to this version is not the same one that worked in Resident Evil 2 Remake, although for a while both developments coincided over time. M-Two, a team of Capcom members and PlatinumGames veterans, has been responsible for bringing production to fruition. In fact, the name of the group was decided by Shinji Mikami and Tatsuya Minami, the first, creator of the saga, while the second was until recent times president of PlatinumGames.
Resident Evil 3 Remake will go on sale next April 3 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Even so, Capcom plans to release a playable demo, but has not yet announced the details about the content or its release date. According to the initial statement, they will reveal the details later.
