Demo Final Fantasy VII Remake: performance analysis

We analyze the performance of the playable demo of Final Fantasy VII Remake on a PS4 Pro console. Does it meet expectations at the framerate level?

We've talked to you long and hard about Final Fantasy VII Remake, since we could play it in scoop for nothing more and no less than three hours. However, in the case at hand, we are facing a technical and performance Reviews of the playable demo that appeared on the PS4 PlayStation Store on March 2, and that is completely free. In other words: we shelled the demo of FFVII Remake to see how it performs in PS4 Pro.

Performance Reviews of FF VII Remake on PS4 Pro

When performing this technical Reviews we have used audit tools for the frame rate (frames per second) of console video games. And to get a sample as objective as possible, we have tested the Final Fantasy VII Remake demo in different situations in which we understand that the console processor load is different: in scenes, exploring the game world, and in full combat.

First, the scenes. During the course of them, the demo of FFVII Remake remains at 30 stable FPS, although it is true that there are certain artifacts and specific moments in which this rate fluctuates between 29 and 31 frames per second. Nothing serious, and virtually priceless without the right tools. From this fluctuation, and the very high quality of the scenes, we deduce that the latter are made with the game engine.

In the scenes we have 30 stable FPS at almost every moment, with some oscillations between 29 and 31 FPS

When moving around the stage, the same thing happens. 30 FPS stable at all times, even when there is a transition – quite clean and natural, everything is said – to a movie scene.

In the fighting three quarters of the same. In all of them there are still 30 stable FPS, regardless of the number of enemies on the screen, interface elements such as the numbers that indicate the damage caused or received, or graphic effects such as fire or explosions. Nor are there any stoppages of any kind when switching between characters, or pausing the action to use the combat menus.
