GTA 5 does not go out of style: the best-selling game in Spain in February 2020

GTA V leaves PS Now and joins Xbox Game Pass

AEVI reflects that the Rockstar video game, with more than one million units sold in our country, is again the most successful title of the month.

GTA V was the best-selling video game in physical format in Spain during the month of February 2020. The Rockstar phenomenon, with more than 115 million units sold worldwide and more than one million copies sold only on PS4 in our country, has been imposed on any other title available in stores during the second month of the season, according to the latest report of the Spanish Association of Video Games (AEVI).

The budding version is that of PS4, on sale in the market since 2014, but with aggressive sales on its PVP much more frequently than in the past; with prices below 20 or 15 euros sealed in some shops. This is good news for a Rockstar that also wins the silver medal through Red Dead Redemption 2, which surpasses the EA contender with whom the podium, FIFA 20, is closed, fireproof in its version for Sony's domestic.

The rest of the Top-10 leaves a panorama with few surprises and many titles already veteran in the market, a clear reflection that there are fewer and fewer titles capable of selling much in the long term and less and less the games that manage to stand out: there are more gap than before; Highlights only a few.

Nintendo Switch continues to demonstrate its great strength in the sale of video games in physical format. In this order: Minecraft, Luigi's Mansion 3, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey, 50% of the Top-10 and with no title published in 2020.
