Nintendo Switch Lite Coral will be released in Spain; release date

The console had already been announced for Japan, but the new color will leave the Japanese borders and reach the West.

Nintendo announced that the Japanese market would have Nintendo Switch Lite Coral on March 20, but confirmed nothing about a possible launch in western territory. Until now. Through social networks, the Japanese company has revealed that the new color will also be available in Spain, although it will be commercialized somewhat later than in Japan. Its European launch is scheduled for April 24, so from that date it will join the other three colors available: gray, turquoise and yellow.

The Kyoto console originally came out in March 2017, as a hybrid model that works as a portable console and as a desktop machine. However, Nintendo decided to launch a new model in 2019, Nintendo Switch Lite, which dispenses with its desktop approach and focuses exclusively on its portable facet. In this way, it does not offer removable Joy-Cons, since the controls are attached to the housing. Its dimensions are 28% smaller (91.1mm x 208mm x 13.9mm), it incorporates a 5.5-inch LCD screen, smaller than the original, and has a weight of only 276 grams. At the moment, it is the only new model that has been released, no matter how much rumors about a Pro edition have appeared in the media.

The games that are coming

The absence of a new Nintendo Direct has lasted for months, although the news has continued to happen. Nintendo and Lego announced a collaboration agreement for the launch of Lego Super Mario, a project whose nature is unknown. This means that it has not been announced if it will be exclusively figures or if there will also be a specific title. The company has commented that they intend to continue expanding their franchises beyond the video game industry. What is tangible is the launch of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which will be released in late March.

More nebulous is the date of some games that are on the horizon, such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, Metroid Prime 4 or Bayonetta 3. We will have to be alert for when all the news of the future is uncovered.
