Pokémon GO: How to Beat and Capture Giratina Modified Form; best counters

The event will begin this Friday and will be available only for a few days. We go over everything to defeat the Legendary of Sinnoh.

Giratina Modified Form is back in Pokémon GO. Niantic, in its plan to turn March 2020 into one of the busiest activities in the history of the game, brings back the well-known Pokémon in charge of protecting the World Distortion in the five-star raids for just a few days.

From Friday, March 13 to Monday, March 16: Giratina Modified Form

As always, we start with the dates. The event will begin this Friday, March 13, 2020, at 8:00; and will end on Monday, March 16, 2020, at 10:00 p.m. local time. In addition, it is possible that we will find it in its variocolor / shiny form, but we have already warned that it is quite complicated.

Thus, Level 5 Raids will be led by this dangerous Pokémon. In his Modified form, Giratina will attack us with Shadow Claw (Ghost), Dragon Breath (Dragon), Dragon Claw (Dragon), Past Power (Rock), and Shadow Strike (Ghost). When facing him in post-raid combat, he will have a power (CP) from 1848 to 1931 with no atmospheric improvements. With favorable weather (wind or fog), your CP will be between 2310 and 2414.

Counters: what equipment to bring to end Giratina easily

The most effective Pokémon to kill him are Rayquaza, Palkia, Dragonite, Salamence, Latios and Dialga, although a Mewtwo with Shadow Ball or a Gengar with Shadow Claw are alternatives to consider. Banette, the third generation ghost, is also a good choice. Likewise, a Tyranitar with a Bite or Shred can wreak havoc on Giratina and defend well against him. If you have Weavile, in his Dark form with Scream and Avalanche he is another one of the best opponents.

  • Rayquaza with Dragon Tail and Anger

  • Palkia with Dragon Tail and Comet Draco

  • Dragonite with Dragon Tail and Anger

  • Salamence with Dragon Tail and Draco Comet

  • Latios with Dragon Breath and Dragon Claw

  • Weavile with Scream and Avalanche

For fans of Community Day, we can already say that the event will be this weekend, on March 15, with Abra as the main protagonist.
