The Nintendo Switch video game receives this first patch to correct errors and update its additional content ahead of the launch.
Nintendo has released version 1.1.0 of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the first update file that will be available to all buyers of the Nintendo Switch game on March 20. Thus, those who get the title will have to update the game – it is necessary to have an Internet connection – to be able to access all the news that we will see below.

Some of the minor news will not affect users, as they come to correct problems reported by the media that accessed the digital copy of the title in the Reviews periods. From there, the first main innovation is that online gaming is enabled, so that anyone who wants to play games in multiplayer online can do so from day one (if you have an active account on Nintendo Switch Online) . The download weight is 254 MB.
The first event announced is the Easter Season Event, which will run from April 1 to April 12. As we said, the online functions of the game are also enabled, so that we can visit the islands of other players and connect to the service of the Nintendo Switch Online application for iOS and Android mobile devices, with some additional functions that were confirmed during the last Nintendo Direct.
There are also gifts. As a thank you, Nintendo is giving away a Nintendo Switch in the form of an object, as we see in the image, whose Joy-Con will be the same color as your console – as long as you use a standard model – a wink we already saw in Pokémon Sword and Shield last November.
In the future, Animal Crossing: New Horizons will have more updates and free content; rewards for logging in and other incentives to not stop playing every day even for a few minutes. We have already seen this policy in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp for iOS and Android, with the difference that in this new game for Nintendo Switch there will be no paid microtransactions.
Although it will not be possible to save games in the cloud at the beginning, Nintendo has informed players of their plan to enable this function if we are members of Nintendo Switch Online throughout the year 2020. This backup can only be made in case of breakage console, theft or loss.
