Resident Evil 3 Remake will receive a small patch at launch

The reimagined version of the Capcom classic, which won't update with a big Day 1 patch, will fix minor issues.

The city of Raccoon City is infected with zombies, which have already reached the homes of many players. All this thanks to the demo that is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. As biological terror approaches, we are learning new details about the launch. Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil 3 Remake will be accompanied by an update from day one. Of course, it will be a patch that will correct some bugs.

We are not facing one of those heavy patches that modify much of the gaming experience, as it is glimpsed on the PlayStation servers. It introduces a series of “bug fixes,” and although exactly what is changed is not specified, the size of the update is quite explanatory: it only weighs 220 MB, so it doesn't seem like we are going to wait long before we get to the controls .

Resident Evil 3 Remake

Campaign and multiplayer

Resident Evil Evil 3 Remake is released almost a year after the revamped version of the second installment did. It is a project that was not born from the success of the previous installment, since both developments came to coexist in time. What was not planned from the beginning is that Resident Evil Resistance came out in the same package as the third chapter. Capcom made the decision to do so for one simple reason: The game starring Jill Valentine only has one campaign.

This asymmetric multiplayer mode also replaces the mercenary mode, a classic of the franchise that is left behind this time. The new modality, unprecedented in the saga, pits survivors against a master brain in its 4 vs 1 multiplayer.

Players will return to Raccoon City starting April 3. On what platforms? PlayStation, Xbox One and PC.
