Nothing will change in the physical release for the time being, which is still planned for May 14, at least as far as the US market is concerned.
Sonic The Hedgehog was able to record one record after another at the box office in the first few weeks, which recently was over $ 300 million. This makes Sonic one of the most successful video game additions ever. Even Detective Pikachu or Tomb Raider were not so successful. A continuation is therefore also very likely.
The fact that you benefit from a digital release so early does not apply to every film. Rather, many productions have been put on hold or the launches have been postponed until the situation normalizes again.
