Resident Evil 3 Remake demo hides references to Nintendo Switch eShop

The same dataminers who revealed details about gameplay and difficulty modes dive into the code and find these mentions.

Capcom released the Resident Evil 3 Remake demo just a few days ago, but dataminers have already explored the recesses of the code to extract some information about it. The same ones that uncovered all the difficulty modes of the video game, have found references to the Nintendo eShop, the Nintendo Switch store. That, of course, has fueled rumors about a possible hybrid version of the Kyoto ones. However, there is no evidence that the Japanese company has plans to develop a port for this machine.

Although many of the games in the series are available on the Nintendo Switch, none of the latest works have been released on Mario's system. Only Resident Evil 7: Biohazard has had a version, although of course, only in the Japanese market and through the game in the cloud (such as Assassin's Creed Odyssey). Resident Evil 2 Remake was also not released on Switch and Capcom has shown no signs that it will in the future. In any case, we will have to wait to see the movements of the Japanese company.

How long has development lasted?

Resident Evil 3 Remake will be released on April 3 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The production follows the line of the second installment and reimagines the classic with novel aspects both in its playable mechanics and in its renewed visual section. Like the previous title, this revamped version has been crafted using RE Engine, Capcom's powerful graphics engine. Not surprisingly, Peter Fabiano, producer of the remake, has stated that the development lasted 3 years in total. During all this period, both projects coincided in time.

Resident Evil Resistance is included in the same package as Resident Evil 3 Remake. It is an asymmetric multiplayer for up to five players, in which four survivors face a master brain, also managed by another user.
