How long does Resident Evil 3 Remake last?

We tell you the duration and available modes of Resident Evil 3 Remake to replay it.

Resident Evil 3 Remake isn't with us yet, but it's close. The game comes out on April 3 and from today you can read our Reviews and those of the national and international press, which are leaving it as a remarkable installment but without reaching the excellence that we live with the remake of the second part, which came out on last year and that was GOTY at Meristation. If we focus on the title starring Jill Valentine, one of the most recurring questions is clear: how long is the campaign? We detail both this and the modes and extras that we can find by playing it.

The normal duration of a first standard game ranges between six and seven hours of play, something that we have found common both in our Reviews and in our companion guides and other Spanish journalists. Note that we are talking about real duration, since the game has a little less practical gameplay. Is this what the game gives us? Not at all, there is a lot of fabric to cut with modes and extras.

Unlock the most difficult modes

Our analyst emphasizes that the standard mode can be made a little difficult for the most experienced, and that is that the real challenge is found in other difficulties. Assisted is intended for those who want to focus on history, but where we really have a crumb is in hardcore mode. It is a mode adjusted for the most experienced with stronger enemies, ammunition and more ecstatic objects and less ammunition when we create it, which also opens the door to an even more impressive modality: Nightmare. In this there is a remix of enemies and other changes. This modality, in addition, is only unlocked if we finish the game in hardcore. Enemies are even more aggressive, enemy attacks are more deadly, and enemies and objects appear in different places.

The objective, to reduce the times more and more and achieve S.

If we finish the nightmare mode we will still have the option to play Hell, where -as in Nightmare- there is more rain of zombies, areas plagued by enemies that were previously empty and other changes, such as greater presence of parasites. In Hell the biggest differences are that enemies are more powerful than nightmare, there are fewer typewriters and fewer trunks, and autosave is disabled.

So you see: six-seven hours of main campaign in normal mode, somewhat more affordable than Resident Evil 2 normal mode, but several new difficulties and of course, the option of trying to finish it under two hours in all them to get S scores and be able to invest in the store where we can get power-ups and items according to the achievements we achieve.
