Private Division announced the temporary closure of the offices of Virtuos Games, responsible for the port, due to the advance of the coronavirus.
Long before the coronavirus (COVID-19) hit Europe, news of the disease's effect began to flourish, although at the time it was still seen as distant, at least in Spain. However, Virtuos Games, the studio behind the port of The Outer Worlds to Nintendo Switch, announced the delay of this version. The reason? Prevention against coronavirus. The studio was forced to close its offices, but has already announced a new date for this adaptation. It will be June 5 when the original Obsidian Entertainment title is released in the hybrid of Kyoto.
This has been announced through the official Twitter account of The Outer Worlds: "Good news, astronauts," they publish. "We are planning to open the Halcyon neighborhood for future employees on the Nintendo Switch on June 5, 2020. You will soon be able to take the game everywhere to accomplish your tasks." They warn that on launch day a 6 GB patch will have to be downloaded, which will improve performance and other aspects.
Although Obsidian Entertainment is owned by Microsoft, the game is cross-platform because the Private Division deal was signed before the Redmond team completed the acquisition.
Good news, spacers! We are planning to open the Halcyon Colony to future employees on the Nintendo Switch on June 5th, 2020. You will soon be able to take #TheOuterWorlds with you on the go to fulfill your work duties! 🚀✨https: //t.co/CrL1z0KqLh

The physical edition will include a game card
There is no harm that for good it does not come, and that is that in the case of The Outer Worlds on Nintendo Switch, the boxed edition was expected to come as a code to download the video game, like other products such as Overwatch. However, the study explained that this new situation would allow the cartridges to be produced on time, so that the edition that reaches the stores will include more than just a box.
The first images of the port were recently seen. It is obvious that graphically it has had to be cut, despite the fact that at first glance the results seem satisfactory. In any case, a trailer has not yet been presented that allows us to compare the different versions in more detail.
The Outer Worlds originally came out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. This is a space RPG that combines roleplaying mechanics with a first person shooter battle system.
