Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes is delayed again; Level-5 apologizes

The title still does not take shape. Level-5 issues a statement apologizing for what happened, but the game will not arrive until 2021.

Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes (formerly known as Inazuma Eleven Ares) is further delayed. The production of Level-5, which was intended to bring back the famous soccer action RPG saga that was so successful in the era of Nintendo DS and 3DS with its two trilogies, once again restarts its development because it fails to get what it wants the Japanese study.

Originally planned for spring 2020, the game is now postponed until 2021 "probably", when players and fans of the saga are expected to be able to check whether or not the ambitious title is up to expectations. It should be remembered that Inazuma Eleven: Ares was originally going to be released in 2018 for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and mobile devices.

The message, signed by the CEO of the company, Akihiro Hino, comments that due to development problems, production is being very difficult to fit in the schedule and, therefore, they need more time. The feedback from the fans caused the motivation of the studio members to decline; which led them to make the decision to completely paralyze everything they had been working on so far and start from scratch.

On the brink of cancellation, the game restarted and changed some ideas; Now, they hope to end up doing what both fans and Level-5 herself wants, although they definitely rule out having a connection to the original anime. The message, accompanied by an apology, again asks for patience and thanks the support of those fans who have kept them going.

Where will Inazuma Eleven: Great Road Heroes be placed in the timeline?

For those fans of the video game saga or the television series, it should be said that Inazuma Eleven: Great Road Heroes was going to be placed exactly on an alternative timeline after the events of the first season. After the first restart, the plans were changed and it was indicated that the story will be completely new, but in the form of a reimagining of that first season; that is, instead of Mark Evans as the protagonist with Unmei Sasanami, a young soccer lover with a mental problem that prevents him from playing. He will then join the Raimon Institute as an assistant.
