Mortal Shell: "a love letter to Dark Souls"

A new From Software throne candidate is born out of the passion of an independent team. Presentation trailer

A new independent studio, Cold Symmetry, has presented the fruits of its two years of work with a game that is presented as a "love letter" to Dark Souls. Demanding ARPG, with marked tempo, dark setting and imposing final bosses. Its creators come from studios like Blizzard, Sucker Punch or Bethesda, with the declared intention of making "the game of your dreams".

Soulslike

We will wake up like an empty shell, a body only moved by the breath of the Dark Father to do his will. Walking on the ashes of humanity, we can occupy the remains of fallen warriors and thus adopt their characteristics and particularities in combat, adopting a flexible system that will allow multiple archetypes to be developed. Each shell we occupy has a progression and we can develop it the more experiences we accumulate using it.

Through rock-hewn cathedrals, forgotten tombs, and cyclopean caverns, we must advance to fulfill the mysterious will of our creator. They promise a non-linear adventure, with complex combat, multiple forms of customization, and a roster of grotesque enemies.

The game is scheduled for the third quarter of this year, for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
