Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot hints at Beerus and Goku Super Saiyan God in his new trailer

The first content of the DLC will let us fight against the powerful God of Destruction, one of the characters in Dragon Ball Super.

The story of Goku and his friends did not end in Dragon Ball Z. Nor did it in GT, which is no longer canon. Super is here to continue the adventures of the Akira Toriyama characters, though Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, the newest game in the franchise (now on sale), focuses on all previous events. However, through its downloadable content (included in the season pass, although it can be purchased separately), we can relive the Battle of the Gods. Bandai Namco has just released a trailer in which we can see Goku Super Saiyan God fighting Beerus, God of Destruction.

These are several scenes from The Awakening of a New Power, the first DLC. They are only a few seconds of footage, since most of the sequences serve to offer a kind of summary of the plot narrated in Kakarot. This RPG developed by Cyberconnect 2, the creators of Naruto: Ninja Storm, encompasses the entire Z saga, which means that the adventure elapses since the arrival of the Saiyans on Earth. After the battle against Raditz, Nappa and Vegeta, the enemy to beat is Frieza, but he is not the most powerful monster: the androids, Cell and Buu (especially the latter), put Akira Toriyama's heroes in trouble.

How much does it cost and when does it come out?

The season pass costs 24.99 euros, a ticket that gives access to this content and two more. The last of them promises to be a new story arc, although of course, what it consists of has not yet been announced. The Awakening of a new power will come out in spring, still without a more specific date.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. At the moment, Bandai Namco has ruled out its publication on Nintendo Switch, although the two previous games in the saga (Dragon Ball FighterZ and Xenoblade 2) are indeed available in the hybrid.
