Echo, the new heroine, will land on Overwatch this April

Echo will leave the testing realm to make its debut in the full version of Overwatch on April 14 on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.

The 32nd character on the Overwatch roster is set to make his debut. Having left his mark on the testing realm, Echo confirms its launch on Overwatch for next April 14.

Echo, who was already seen during the cinematic scene of the sequel, confirmed his appearance last March. The addition is part of the development team's plans. As Jeff Kaplan said last November, the first installment would receive "at least one new hero." From the robot the future is unknown to us.

This heroine will take the role of damage. With a difficulty of 2 stars out of 3, the study describes it as "an evolutionary robot programmed with rapidly adapting artificial intelligence." His goal: to perform different functions on the battlefield.

So are his skills:

  • Triple Shot – Echo launches 3 shots at a time in a triangular pattern.

  • Lapa Bombs – Launches a salvo of sticky bombs that explode after a few moments.

  • Flight – Quickly charge forward and take flight.

  • Focused Beam – Echo channels a beam for several seconds that deals heavy damage to targets with less than half health.

  • Glide – You can glide while falling.

  • Duplicate (Ultimate Ability) – Echo duplicates an enemy hero and gains access to his abilities.

Next stop: Overwatch 2

Blizzard Entertainment is in the midst of developing Overwatch 2, which is slated for release at the moment for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. While Jeff Kaplan, the company's vice president, has already commented multiple times that our entire inventory will carry over to the new game, there was some fear about how they would approach campaign mode.

In his words, it will be "a complete experience" that "for the first time will drive the narrative and history of Overwatch through gameplay." Bringing the background to all your players is one of the keys to this step forward.
