The Final Fantasy VII Remake demo is leaked on the PS Store

The game manages to convince a large majority of players in Metacritic. With nearly 2,000 votes cast, he gets rid of the frequent 'review-bombing'.

With Final Fantasy VII Remake already on the market, it's time to assess whether the game is meeting the expectations of the players, who are the ones who will truly assess whether or not this reimagination of the classic Square Enix video game lives up to expectations. In a context marked by the Reviews bombings (review bombing), Cloud's adventure has been left aside from those anger and has settled into the consensus through Metacritic.

With 1,846 votes cast by the community, 1408 votes are positive, with scores ranging from 8 to 10 out of 10. The average, at the moment, is 8.0 out of 100; something below 87 out of 100 that the video game has right now by the international press.

Of this computation of notes issued by the players – who may or may not have Final Fantasy VII Remake -, a total of 332 votes are negative, with notes below 5. Among the arguments on which these ratings are based, in some cases extremely negatives, there are some storyline guts, so we won't go into detail. It is argued, in any case, that some decisions made have not convinced.

Where the majority of votes cast agree is in the design of the combat system, which satisfies both classic players of the genre and those who had not played the original title. In any case, unlike recent cases such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Death Stranding or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, in this case the review bombing is left out.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is now available worldwide for PS4 and has de facto become one of the 10 best-rated games of 2020. Its exclusivity on PS4 will remain as such until next April 10, 2021. You can read here our Reviews together with our complete guide.
