Fortnite Battle Royale patch 12.40 changes and updates

Again, Epic Games has not released patch notes as such on its website. Instead, we have checked in the official Trello what changes and news regarding Fortnite's Battle Royale mode have been applied with patch 12.40:

Changes and general arrangements

  • Sometimes the controls did not vibrate when players took damage. This has been fixed.
  • Midas' "golden touch" did not turn the objects it collected into gold. It has been fixed.

Fortnite Battle Royale specific changes and fixes

  • Hand grenades have been re-enabled, previously disabled because they caused unexpected errors.
  • Some players were unable to interact with Ollie, preventing them from completing Skye's SPECTRUM / SHADOW challenge. This has been fixed.
  • The challenge "pull players or minions with a harpoon weapon" did not work when trying to do it with minions. It has been corrected.
  • The option to display audio caused the icons to vibrate instead of being solid. It has been corrected.
