Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition: the epilogue will take place a year later

The remastered version of the Monolith classic is scheduled for May and will be released exclusively for Nintendo Switch.

Monolith Soft is preparing the return of one of its most awarded video games. Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition will enhance its graphics and offer exclusive content. This is the epilogue Connected Futures, which will continue with the story of the original. It has already been announced that it would not be necessary to complete the video game to access it; now the timeline in which it will unfold is confirmed. According to Nintendo's official Twitter, the epilogue will be chronologically one year after the end of the main game.

What it will not include will be the extras of the Nintendo 3DS version. Using the Shulk amiibo, one of the figures from Super Smash Bros, it was possible to unlock the Collection Mode, a virtual museum where you could see the models and listen to the themes of the soundtrack. It was also possible to access the content through the Streetpass or in-game currencies. Given its portable nature, the option of keeping the console idle and tasting music tracks was a viable option.

All the data about its launch

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition will go on sale on May 29 exclusively for Nintendo Switch, in physical and digital format (weighing 13.6 GB). In addition to the standard version, the Kyoto company will publish a Collector's Edition, which will come with a physical copy, a poster, a metal box, a vinyl and a code that will be used to download the game's soundtrack. As usual in this type of edition, it will be necessary to reserve it to qualify for its purchase.

The title of Monolith Soft is one of the great titles that Nintendo has planned for the coming months. The company has yet to unveil its plans for long-term projects, such as the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or Metroid Prime 4.
