Inside Final Fantasy VII Remake focuses on graphics in episode 5

The Square Enix development team is also exploring visuals, another cornerstone of this revamped version.

The documentary dedicated to the latest Square Enix work continues; Inside Final Fantasy VII Remake premieres its episode number five. After chatting about the story and characters, the soundtrack, the combat system and more, its creators come together to continue revealing information about the development of the reimagined version of the classic. On this occasion, the team focuses its attention on two specific aspects, graphics and visual effects. That is, the changes that are seen at first glance, especially considering that the original is over twenty years old, with all that this entails.

In this episode, several of the singing voices from Final Fantasy VII Remake meet, including two of its directors (Motomu Toriyama, another of the highest officials, does not appear this time). They are Tetsuya Nomura (director and concept design), Naoki Hamaguchi (co-director; game design and programming), Masaaki Kazeno (character modeling director), Hiroyuki Nagatsuka (chief animator), and Hiroyuki Yamaji (combat animation director).

Tetsuya Nomura himself, the architect of Kingdom Hearts 3, puts the spotlight on Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, an animated film that he directed and that at the time surprised by its visual appearance. All in all, he points out, the years have not passed in vain, so it is technically far surpassed, also by Final Fantasy VII Remake. You can watch the video below with subtitles in Spanish
