The Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night universe joins the 2D realms of Kingdom: Two Crowns in a free crossover coming April 28.
Kingdom: Two Crowns and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night come together to present a crossover that will completely change the aesthetics of the kingdoms that we had known so far. By means of an entry in the blog of PlayStation USA, Gordon Van Dyke, director and main designer of the game, explains what are the main keys of this collaboration.
“Along the way we ran into editor 505 Games during an indie gaming event. We found out that they were big fans of Kingdom: Two Crowns, ”he describes. Hence an agreement was born to merge the two universes.
The result materializes in Dead Lands, a free update that will add new content transferred from the Koji Igarashi game. We will find four new playable monarchs that will correspond to various Bloodstained characters: Miriam, Zangetsu, Gebel and Alfred.
Its incorporation comes from the hand of a new game mechanic. In Dead Lands we can change our character at any time among the four mentioned above. This allows you not only to choose a new mount along the way, but to squeeze your abilities as we want.
Beyond
Gordon notes that Bloodstained fans will "recognize other cameos" that await in this new world. The image that gives rise to these lines is an illustration created by Mana Ikeda, who originally designed the original cover of Ritual of the Night. In addition to all the cameos, it will be possible to find Gamigin, the mythical demon horse. "Dead Lands also includes new steeds and moon phases that may be able to warn you when the next blood moon will come," he concludes.
In any case, Dead Lands will arrive at Kingdom: Two Crowns on April 28. It will be free for all players on PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC. The mobile version will arrive the same day and will incorporate this latest update from the beginning.
