Battlefield 5 will feature a content update, but there will be no Chapter 7

The EA DICE game, released in late 2018, still has life ahead of it after two years on the market.

The Pacific War was the setting chosen for Chapter 5 of Battlefield 5, the latest title in the EA DICE saga. The game, which has been expanded with new content over the years, still has things to say. It has been revealed by Ryan McArthur, one of the main producers of the title, in an update published on the official site. With an eye on Chapter 6, Into the Jungle, which will be released on April 29, the studio has also set its eyes on the future … a future without a Chapter 7, already ruled out by DICE. "There won't be a Chapter 7."

The developer has announced the launch of a standalone update that is planned for summer and that will include a series of new content, weapons and improvements for the game. "We have set June for this update," says McArthur. "We are still facing the challenges of working from home and we will let you know how things are progressing over the next month," he reports.

DICE promises weekly rewards in the form of money from Battlefield or Company Coin, a currency that allows you to unlock equipment. In addition, they intend to organize different events and activities. “We are planning several weekly initiatives such as the reintroduction of #FridayNightBattlefield servers, where the community can play Battlefield 5 in a friendly environment.

Battle against cheats

Like Infinity Ward with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone, EA DICE will continue to dig deeper into its anti-cheat measures. The team has emphasized that the members of the group that are responsible for ensuring fair play in Battlefield 5 work overtime to solve this scourge. However, they prefer not to enter to discuss the measures they are taking because revealing their methods may mean that cheats discover new ways to bypass security. All in all, the video game has a system that allows warning of possible fraudulent behavior.

Battlefield 5 is available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Electronic Arts recently released an edition that includes the content released over these almost two years.
