Phil Spencer on Xbox Series X: the next thing to show will be the games

The head of the Xbox division answers a tweeter and confirms that the company is preparing to tackle video games.

A console can be powerful, but without games it won't go very far. That is something that companies know all too well, all the more reason to invest in internal studies and future productions. Microsoft has made a great effort in this regard, as it has acquired studios such as Ninja Theory, Playground or Obsidian Entertainment. Phil Spencer, head of the Xbox division, has posted a very clear message on Twitter: The next thing they are going to show is the Xbox Series X games. When? It is still unknown, but he says that there will be no long waiting.

The thread was generated by a follower on the social network Twitter, who asked Spencer about the roadmap regarding Xbox Series X: “How do you feel about the eventual announcement of new games and more information about Series X on sometime this year? How are the plans going? There are definitely a lot of hungry fans here. ”

The Xbox manager has answered the following: “We reviewed yesterday the plans about continuing to share (information) until launch. The team is doing a great job and adapting. I've never been more excited about Xbox plans. We have listened to you, we want transparency and authenticity. We want to continue in this way; the next step won't take too long (games). ”

What about the Xbox Series X logo?

The registration of the logo that Microsoft made on April 16 has not gone unnoticed. The image has come to light, although from the Redmond company they warn that it is usual to maneuver in this way and that the logo that has leaked is not at all indicative of what the final image may be. Whether or not Xbox will have to reveal it in due course.

Xbox Series X will go on sale in late 2020, although there is no specific date confirmed yet. Americans have already stated that there will initially be no delay from the coronavirus.
