Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition to Include Original and Remastered Soundtrack

The new version of the Monolith Soft game will have an epilogue and almost all the content of the other versions.

The fantasy world of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will be released soon on Nintendo Switch. The title of Monolith Soft will be released in just over a month with a version full of content. Nintendo has announced on its Twitter account that players will be able to embark on the adventure accompanied by the remastered soundtrack, but also by the original pieces, which were heard in the original Wii version.

The music of the game is made up of various composers, including Manami Kiyota, Yasunori Mitsuda and Yoko Shimomura. Mitsuda has worked on games like Xenosaga, Chrono Trigger, and Final Fantasy XV. The soundtrack of this last game was composed by Shimomura, also the creator of the musical scores for the Kingdom Hearts saga, among many other titles.

Connected Future, the epilogue

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will also add a completely new epilogue, Connected Future. Those who have already played the original will not have to complete the entire game to access this content, since it will be available to all players from the beginning, through the corresponding menu. Despite being a Definitive Edition, some extras of the Nintendo 3DS version will not be adapted to Nintendo Switch. This is the case of the virtual museum; The soundtrack cannot be heard with the console at rest either.

As announced by Kyoto in the Nintendo Direct Mini, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will go on sale on May 29, both in its digital and physical edition. It should be noted that collectors can get a special version, already confirmed for the European market, which includes a boxed copy of the game, soundtrack download code, art book, illustrations and a vinyl, in addition to the usual box metallic. Whoever opts for digital download should know that its weight will be 13.6 GB.
