The remastering of the PlayStation 2 video game now includes the possibility of resetting jobs and new sets for the gambit system.
Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age was released on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One with some new features that were not present on PlayStation 4 and PC, the versions that came out initially. The remastering of the classic Square Enix takes months on these platforms, but it has been now when the Japanese company has decided to update and equip all versions thanks to the inclusion of unpublished content. Thus, users of these platforms will be able to enjoy the option of resetting jobs or an expanded gambit system, which offers three additional configuration sets.
On the Sony console, a menu is added to listen to the soundtrack, while the PC gets rid of Denuvo, the controversial anti-piracy system that many companies use to prevent crack their video games. Normally, hackers manage to do it sooner or later, at which time companies often take advantage to eliminate it, since it is no longer necessary.
Problems starting the game on Steam
It should be noted that some users have highlighted on the Steam forums that after the publication of the patch they can no longer start the video game. This is due, according to the comments, to Square Enix mistakenly deleting one of the files. Fortunately, a user has posted the aforementioned file on the network and it has been solved, waiting for Square Enix itself to officially fix it. It is not the first time that the Japanese have made a similar mistake, since in the last update of Final Fantasy IX, they deleted the entire game by mistake.
Final Fantasy XII broke new ground in the veteran saga of old Squaresoft. He left out traditional turns to implement a more mobile combat system, in which it is possible to move the characters across the battlefield. The gambit system allows you to assign behavior patterns to peers, so that you can automate your actions.
