Final Fantasy XIV: first details of patch 5.3; NieR's new raid

The team behind Final Fantasy XIV reveals the first details of update 5.3, as well as the second chapter of the crossover with the NieR universe.

The team after Final Fantasy XIV has shared the first in-depth details of patch 5.3, one of the most anticipated by the community. Having recently received version 5.25, the company reveals what changes are approaching not only Shadowbringers, but A Realm Reborn as well.

Beyond the final act for the Shadowbringers story, the most important thing is the revamp that will receive the main stage for new players. They want the quest flow to be much more natural, the grind needed in the current quest list to be reduced in order to offer better rewards and more experience. Ultimately, making the trip to Heavensward, the first expansion, better.

Players will now be able to use their flying mounts in all initial A Realm Reborn scenarios. I Believe I Can Fly quest has been removed as completing The Ultimate Weapon main quest will automatically unlock the ability to use them.

As for the collaboration with NieR, it has been confirmed that the update will bring with it the second chapter of the YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse raid. Called The Puppets ’Bunker, it will be a continuation of The Copied Factory, introduced in patch 5.1.
