SNK to relaunch Gals' Fighters and new information from the Samurai Spirits Collection this week

The conditions are still unknown, but a while ago it was approved for Switch in the Korean rating system.

On the occasion of the festivities for the 30th anniversary of Neo Geo, a legendary platform, SNK has announced the relaunch this week of a curious title in its catalog: Gals's Fighters, in addition to ensuring that it will offer information on the Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection, which will bring together The unforgettable AES / MVS games in their world and Japanese versions – in addition to offering online play – exact details of the platform or dates are not known, but it is understood that it will be soon – Gals' Fighters is already approved in the rating system Korean for Switch, actually-.

30 years of history

Someone on the current SNK board must be a huge fan of Gals' Fighters, a humorous fighting game released in Neo Geo Pocket that brings together the most iconic fighters from different sagas. In fact, when the new and hopeful stage of the Osaka company had started, one of the first projects was the SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy, clearly considered a continuation of the idea of Gal's Fighters (pity that a title did not come up from efforts like the Samurai Shodown or KOF XIV). It's a fun game, especially for the winks, but it's nowhere near the best Pocket has to offer, though its factor of historical curiosity is there.

Of more entity is that compilation that Samurai Shodown, a real treasure that collects all the great installments of the saga, those that appeared on the original Neo Geo plate and the most popular and well-known, from the first to Samurai Shodown V Special. This version was announced at the time for PC, Switch, PS4 and Xbox One and includes an online multiplayer mode, as well as a museum with art, music and other features. It is a shame, more for historical completeness than for the quality of the games, that the effort to rescue the two 3D installments released in Hyper Neo Geo 64 is not made, although perhaps the museum allows us to know a little more about them. In any case, it will be an essential pack for lovers of the fight.
