Microsoft's cloud technology will be added to the Xbox service in 2020, as Phil Spencer has revealed.
The same day that Microsoft announced that Xbox Game Pass already has more than 10 million subscribers, Phil Spencer, the head of the video games division, has published a new entry on the Xbox website to celebrate the triumphant figures. The manager has not only welcomed the successes of the service, which will add Red Dead Redemption 2 in May, but has also confirmed that Project xCloud, the technology of streaming games from those of Redmond, will be implemented on Xbox Game Pass during the 2020.
"This year, later, our cloud streaming technology, Project xCloud, will come to Game Pass, so you and your friends can play the video games you love via streaming on your devices." According to Spencer, he has always believed that video games have a "unique potential" to unite people, an idea that he has repeated on numerous occasions. “I am proud of how our art form is introducing this unique potential during these times of need. I have no doubt that we will come out of this experience stronger than ever ”, he points out in reference to the coronavirus.

Good figures on Xbox Game Pass
Spencer has also cited other additional figures on Xbox Game Pass, a service that will be available on Xbox Series X from the day of its launch. Since March, service members have added 23 million friends through Xbox Live, representing a growth of 70%. Users using Game Pass are also playing multiplayer games more, with a 130% increase. Since the COVID-19 epidemic kicked off, entertainment has grown exponentially.
Project xCloud, meanwhile, will start its closed beta in eleven European countries, including Spain, in May. At the moment, the test is only enabled on Android devices. It is still possible to subscribe on this website.
