Electronic Arts will offer its own upgrade program to the new generation. Madden NFL 21 has been the first to confirm this on Xbox Series X.

Electronic Arts took advantage of the first look at Xbox Series X games to reveal the next annual installment of its Madden sports franchise. American football will reach the new generation with Madden NFL 21, which will include a special promotion for those Xbox One users who want to make the leap to the next console.

According to the company itself on the game's official website, "EA Sports and Microsoft have announced a program for those who buy Madden NFL 21 on Xbox One to upgrade to Xbox Series X at no additional cost." Unlike Smart Delivery, the Electronic Arts game will have set deadlines to be eligible for the free upgrade.

To receive the offer, players must purchase Madden NFL 21 on Xbox One by December 31, 2020 and jump to Xbox Series X by March 31, 2021. The plans of the studio are to transfer all the progress made to the new version. "We are still at an early stage of development in this regard," they comment.
