The Last of Us Part 2: Naughty Dog insists that there is no need to kill dogs

The Californian study has been dissatisfied by the description of the GameStop chain, where it is hinted that it will be necessary to end them.

The Last of Us Part 2 will not force players to kill dogs in any way. As confirmed months ago based on the indications raised by one of the last trailers of 2019, Naughty Dog has now relapsed in the fact that it will not be necessary to kill these animal companions of the enemies during the games, but we will be able to circumvent them with techniques like stealth.

There are alternatives: killing animals is not necessary

Arne Meyer, communication manager of the Californian company for the imminent PS4 game, has quoted from the social network Twitter the description that the American store chain GameStop has published about The Last of Us Part 2 showing disagreement with information that, according to his words, it lacks context. In the dogs section, the following is read: "The game does not discard any blows nor does it 'deviate' from the idea that while playing as Elli in a fight for survival, killing dogs is necessary."

But no, it won't be necessary. Although they want to treat violence "in the most realistic way" possible and that implies the possibility of killing dogs voluntarily to be able to free ourselves from their attention and emerge unscathed from dangerous situations, stealth will be an alternative to all this.

Despite the fact that we already know the release date of the game and have seen the final trailer in Spanish, Naughty Dog says that they have "many things to share" before their release. The Last of Us Part 2 will be released on June 19 exclusively for PlayStation 4. FreeGameTips was already able to play a demo of the title; You can read our impressions here. The game will have a weight greater than 100 GB in digital format, while those who get hold of it in physical format will find two discs on the cover. Regarding a possible demo, Neil Druckmann's team has ruled it out.
