Dreams: a user recreates the technical demo of Unreal Engine 5 on PS4

A Media Molecule contributor recreates in Dreams the beginning of the demo of the new Unreal Engine 5, the PlayStation 5 graphics engine and the new generation.

There are few things right now that can surprise as much as the technical demo of the Unreal Engine 5, which served to show a first look at the graphics of the PlayStation 5 and the new generation. Still, in that small and select list we would have to put yes or yes to Dreams, the latest Media Molecule game (the parents of LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway). A user (and freelance collaborator of the Media Molecule itself) has made his own with the very complete editor of the game and has recreated what the famous demo would be like on PlayStation 4. A challenge that he has overcome with a note although he has only been able to replicate the principle . The result is surprising and even more so when we consider how it was produced and how long it took. According to its creator, Martin Nebelong, the level took just 2 hours. Judge for yourselves:

Given what has been seen, who knows what the users of the game might be capable of if the game has a version for PlayStation 5 that puts at their mercy all the power and tools of the new platform, among which it does not stop highlight its spectacular hard drive. Although Media Molecule has ensured that Dreams on PS5 is "the logical step", it seems that things are going for a long time and for the moment we will have to settle for the creations made on PS4, which are not little, far from it. So far we have already seen recreations of Minas Tirith, from The Lord of the Rings; Wipeout runs; a television channel within the title with its own television series with puppets; a remake of Metal Gear Solid and a worthy successor to X-Wings … The editor, one of the most ambitious in memory, has even been able to anticipate the launch of two of the games of the year, and has released "his version ”of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Last of Us Part 2.

If you have not yet tried the game, which came out last February and achieved a creditable 8.7 in the FreeGameTips Reviews, we remind you that just a few weeks ago Media Molecule published a free demo of it on the PlayStation Store. In it, the developer has included some of the best levels created by the community and a part of the story mode.
