Third-generation Pokémon (Hoenn) star in Pokémon GO's third Return Challenge 2020, with Groudon as the main star and reward.
The third Return Challenge 2020 arrives at Pokémon GO, this time set in the Hoenn region (third generation). Between 13:00 today, Friday May 15, 2020, and 13:00 next Friday the 22nd (always according to Spanish local time), the Niantic game is updated with all kinds of content set in Pokémon Rubi and Sapphire. Specifically, these are all the changes that the developer has prepared for us, coaches:
- More Pokemon originating from Hoenn (such as Skitty, Seviper, Zangoose) will appear both wild and on raids.
- 7km eggs are more likely to give birth to Clamperl, Feebas, Lotad, Mawile, Nincada, Sableye, Skitty, Slakoth and Trapinch.
- We can meet a wild Pikachu with a Rayquaza hat.
- Skitty Shiny or variocolor multiply.
- The distances to hatch eggs inside the incubators and / or win candy with colleagues is halved.
- There are new exclusive field research tasks that will offer rewards against Pokémon from the Hoenn region (which to catch, of course).

All phases and rewards of the Hoenn Return Challenge
But without a doubt, the most important are the nine phases that we will have to overcome to get Hoenn's final reward, which is none other than a Groudon with Fire Fist and 10 rare candies. These are all the challenges you will have to do to get there:
First phase
- Catch three water, fire or plant pokémon: 10 pokéballs.
- Catch a Rock-type Pokémon: 500 Star Dust.
- Claim a reward: 5 rare candies.
Rewards for completing all three: Nosepass Showdown, Two Golden Raspberry Berries, and one Raspberry Berry.
Second stage
- Catch a fight-type Pokémon: 500 Star Dust.
- Upgrade to a Pokémon: 5 Pinia Berries.
- Complete three good throws for an encounter with Lairon.
Rewards for completing all three: Showdown with Hariyama, and again two golden raspberry berries and one raspberry berry.
Third phase
- Catch an Electric-type Pokémon: 500 Stardust.
- Send a gift to a friend: incense.
- Do 3 curved ball shots for an encounter with Wailmer.
Rewards for completing all three: confrontation with Manectric, two raspberry berries and a pinia berry.
Fourth phase
- Catch 3 Fire-type Pokémon: 500 Stardust.
- Get a candy walking with your partner for an encounter with Trapinch.
- Capture 3 weather-powered Pokémon to have an encounter with Bagon.
Rewards for completing all three: Showdown with Camerupt, 2 Pinia Berries and a Raspberry Berry.

Fifth phase
- Catch a normal-type Pokémon: 500 Star Dust.
- Upgrade a Pokémon three times: 10 Super ball.
- Do 3 great throws to have an encounter with Shedinja.
Rewards for completing all three: showdown with Slakoth, two raspberry berries, and one pinia berry.
Sixth phase
- Catch a water, electric, or critter-type Pokémon: 10 Ultra ball.
- Catch a flying-type Pokémon: 500 Stardust.
- Fight against another trainer in order to meet an Absol.
Rewards for completing all three: Encounter with Encounter with Swellow, two Pinia Berries and a Raspberry Berry.
Seventh phase
- Catch a ghost-type Pokémon: 5 revive.
- Catch a psychic-type Pokémon: 500 Star Dust.
- Give your partner three gifts: Loaded MT.
Rewards for completing all three: Claydol Showdown, Two Raspberry Berries and one Pinia Berry.
Eighth phase
- Catch a water-type Pokémon: 500 Star Dust.
- Take a photo of a fellow water guy for an encounter with Clamperl.
- Evolve a Pokémon: Star Piece.
Rewards for completing all three: Showdown with Sealeo, two Pinia Berries and a Raspberry Berry.
Ninth phase
- Claim the reward: 3000 experience.
- Claim the reward: 3000 experience.
- Claim the reward: 3000 experience.
Rewards: the long-awaited showdown with Groudon and 10 rare candies. !! Congratulations!!
Remember that this weekend is also the second Incense Day, in which you can get a Carvanha Shiny. Next week it will be the turn of the fourth and last Return Challenge 2020, already in Shinnoh.
