Frédérick Duguet, chief financial officer of the company, celebrates the figures achieved in just ten days.

It all started with a landscape, a conceptual art that BossLogic was composing in a rigorous live performance. Assassin's Creed Valhalla presented its first illustration this way, for hours after being revealed in a movie trailer. In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the video has broken new records. This is announced by Frédérick Duguet, head of Ubisoft's economic area, during the presentation of the most recent financial results.

"The announcement was spectacular, breaking new records when it comes to Ubisoft game announcements," he congratulates himself. "The trailer has had over 100 million views in the first 10 days, making it the most viewed trailer in Ubisoft history." In addition, if we add the figures of the official video and those uploaded on other channels, the number rises to more than 200 million.

According to the manager, Assassin's Creed Valhalla "has also remained on the top of the topics" on Twitter for several days and since April 30 "in many countries". The French company has also noted that the announcement has sparked players' desire to return to Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Origins, the latest games in the franchise.

Inside Xbox was going to be the stage to show gameplay of the video game. However, Ubisoft taught just a few seconds, sparking a wave of criticism. Despite this, the company has indicated that they are preparing a long marketing campaign, so they will present the novelties of the video game throughout the following months. This new production developed by Ubisoft Montreal (in collaboration with more than a dozen studios), will introduce us to the Vikings in a video game that promises to return to its roots in certain mechanical and thematic aspects.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is planned for the end of the year on current and next generation platforms. The title starring Eivor will therefore land on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, PC and Google Stadia. It is confirmed that the version for the Microsoft console will have Smart Delivery, which means that if the player decides to buy it on Xbox One, it will be updated for free and with all the improvements in the new system.
