Warner Bros. intends to encourage the public after confinement to go to theaters, for now, in Hong Kong and Taiwan starting in June.
One of the many consequences of the current coronavirus crisis has been the massive closure of cinemas and open spaces to the general public in order to contain the pandemic in much of the world. And soon, as part of the gradual de-escalation that many countries are already beginning to implement, cinemas are expected to resume their activity in the coming months. So Warner Bros. has already announced that it will encourage people to go to theaters with the re-release of the Batman trilogy directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Christian Bale.
June re-release in Hong Kong and Taiwan
Thus, the famous production company has already advanced that it will bring the Batman saga of Nolan to theaters in Hong Kong and Taiwan in a staggered way during the next month of June, that is, Batman Begins will be released on June 4, The Dark Knight will do so on June 11 and The Dark Knight Rises will return to theaters on June 18, dates confirmed for Hong Kong. In Taiwan they will kick off a little earlier, with Batman Begins in theaters starting May 29.
At the moment, only Hong Kong and Taiwan have been confirmed, although from Warner Bros. they assure that the initiative will soon arrive in other countries still to be confirmed, as the cinemas are opening together with the different international plans of unconfidence.
All in all, it is a movement with no loss margin, since these are films released years ago and available in domestic format, all to encourage the public to go to the cinemas before long-awaited films begin to be released like Tenet, Mulán or Wonder Woman 1984, scheduled for this summer.
Next up for the Dark Knight in theaters will be The Batman, Matt Reeves' new vision for the DC superhero with actor Robert Pattinson as a young Bruce Wayne / Batman.
